Is Grand Prairie in Tarrant, Dallas, or Ellis County?
Grand Prairie straddles three counties: Dallas (majority — including the original townsite), Tarrant (eastern Arlington-adjacent portions), and Ellis (small southern portion). Most of the city's population sits in Dallas County, but the Tarrant County share has grown with Lake Ridge and other south-side developments. Property taxes, voter rolls, and county services route through whichever county a parcel sits in — Dallas Central Appraisal District, Tarrant Appraisal District, or Ellis Appraisal District.
