Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect the minimum needed to deliver the newsletter, we don't sell anything, and you can leave any time.
What we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your email address and your IP address at the moment of signup (for spam prevention and double opt‑in confirmation). We may collect your first name if you provide it. We use a transactional email vendor to deliver the newsletter; the vendor logs delivery and open events, which we use only to ensure deliverability.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard server access logs (timestamp, IP address, requested URL, user agent, referrer). These logs are retained for up to 30 days and used to debug performance and detect abuse.
What we don't collect
We do not run third‑party advertising trackers. We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar profiling scripts on this site. We do not sell, rent, or trade subscriber information. We do not share email addresses with sponsors or any third party except the email delivery vendor named above.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking cookies. Strictly necessary session cookies may be set by embedded forms; these expire when you close your browser.
Your choices
Every newsletter contains a one‑click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing removes your address from our active list within 24 hours. To request full deletion of your record (including suppression‑list entries), email hello@tarrantcountydesk.com with the subject "Delete my data".
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll announce the change in the newsletter and update the "Effective" date above.
